6 Unique Date Night Ideas you should try
Date Nights are very important in a relationship no matter what stage the relationship is in, marriage, dating, etc. Every Couple needs a little time together without having to deal with outside problems. Depending on what stage you are in, sometimes you have to get a little creative with date night ideas. Sometimes you have to plan something at home or late at night when the kids are sleeping Or you might have to do something a little lowkey or budget-friendly. Here are a couple of date night ideas you could do instead of the usual dinner at an expensive restaurant.
Take a Road trip
Road trips are fun and peaceful. And If you are like me, you are always ready to get out of the house. A nice drive could be a great date. You have road trip snacks, good music, good scenery, and good conversation. All the makings of a good date that’s out of the ordinary.
Get AirBnB or Cabin
You could also use that road trip to go to a nice AirBnB or cabin to take in some new scenery or just find one in town. Find a romantic place to go and spend a day or two together. A cabin or nice Bed & Breakfast can be a nice change to the 4 walls of your own home and can feel like a little vacation for you and your date.
Have a Game Night
You don’t have to be all lovey-dovey on V-day. Fire up some games to get the blood pumping. Beating my husband in Mario Kart is one of the best feelings. No sweet-talking, just playful trash-talking, and maybe a little bit of play fighting to liven up the night. Whether it’s a Video game, Monopoly, UNO, etc can be a good addition to your date night.
Cooking together
You and your date can cook a nice dinner together. It could be a good bonding experience or if nothing else a good laugh if you or your date doesn’t know the basics of cooking. You can always revert to Plan B… Takeout.
Get takeout from a nice restaurant
Instead of dining out, get takeout from a nice restaurant and create your own ambiance at home. Dim the lights, light some candles, the whole 9-yards. And if you don’t want to get dressed up, you don’t have to. If you and your partner have been married for years and just put those kids to bed, you might not feel like getting all the way dressed up. Having the restaurant vibe in your comfy lounge clothes is A1. That way you can get a comfortable restaurant experience without hearing the weird conversation of the couple two tables over.
Netflix & Chill
And actually chilling and watching the movie…. Find a good movie that both of you have been wanting to watch, grab some popcorn or snacks, and enjoy the fact that it did not cost you $50 to see a movie.
Or… Combine them all. Take a Road Trip to a nice cabin or Airbnb, have a fun game night, cook dinner together, or grab some takeout, and end the night with a little Netflix and chill. All fun, all romantic, all different!
