4 Amazing Vacation Ideas for Couples
Being in a relationship is hard sometimes. You have to work on keeping it new and fresh while still learning new things about each other. Being married and having a family makes it even harder. After working 40+ hours a week and then coming home to the usual routine of cooking, cleaning, parenting, etc, you and your spouse probably need a little break. You may have a date night here and there doing the same things, the same restaurants, & the same movie nights, but after a while, those little 2 or 3-hour date nights get a little old. You might need to spice it up a little bit. No matter what stage of the relationship you’re in, every once in a while it’s good to break away from the usual “dinner and movie” or “Netflix and chill”. So why not plan a “bae”cation?
Couples vacations are a great way to spend some time with each other and enjoy new adventures. There are tons of places to go & many things to do to make everlasting memories. Here is a list of the top 4 vacation spots to get the most out of your vacation.
Cabin in the Mountains
What’s better than being secluded with your significant other with a scenic view of the mountains…? I’ll tell you. Being snowed in with your significant other with a scenic view of the mountains. It doesn’t get any more romantic than that. If you’re gonna do a Netflix and chill, might as well do it in style right? Imagine snuggling up with a blanket and a bottle of wine in front of a warm fire with snow-covered mountains right outside your window. Even if you’re vacationing in the warmer months, there are still plenty of other date ideas if you want to get out and about. You can find hiking trails, go shopping in local shops, or ride around to see more of the scenery and maybe find some wildlife. Places like Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg have national parks where you can walk or drive through to see everything from wild turkeys to black bears. A cabin in the mountains should definitely be on your “bae getaway” list.
Couples-Only Resorts
Time to go lay out by the water with your spouse and a fruity beach drink. A couples-only resort is the best option when trying to get some peace and relaxation with your bae. No kids hogging the pool. No group of girlfriends scoping out your man’s abs (or dad bod) from across the pool. Just couples doing the same thing you are, spending good quality alone time with their significant other. You can also indulge in everything from cooking & dancing classes to jet skiing and private boat rides or you could just stay in your nice stateroom with a big jacuzzi tub… Your choice.
Overseas Culture
Going overseas can be very insightful and educational. But going with your spouse can take experiencing a new culture to the next level. Seeing the beauty of Paris, Italy, or Greece can bring any couple closer together. Enjoying the museums, beautiful buildings, and remarkable landmarks can make a vacation one to remember. And everyone knows the best way to enjoy foreign cuisines is with someone you love. Trying new foods under the ambiance of a fancy foreign restaurant is the epitome of a good couples’ getaway.
Wine Country
A nice bed and breakfast is a good idea for a weekend getaway. No matter what phase in your relationship you’re in, going to a romantic vineyard is a nice quiet place to enjoy each other’s company. Touring the beautiful vineyards, enjoying the different restaurants, and of course, tasting all the different wines. You may find one that you and your spouse will label as your specific wine. The one that will be served at your future wedding or vow renewal or for any special night.
But honestly, it’s not about where you decide to go. Whether you go around the world or down the street, the important part is taking advantage of the time you have together. Talk to each other. Enjoy each other’s company. Things may go wrong because no trip can go exactly as planned but don’t waste time sweating the small stuff. As long as you have each other and are having a good time, then the vacation will be perfect. Don’t waste another minute wondering if or when you should plan your next trip.
